Stage 1. Roses – Camprodon

We leave Roses and go north, in slight rise to Boadella’s dam. Gently, we enter into the heart of the province of Girona. In Vilanant (km 65) we will enjoy the first provisioning (AV1). Where we must recover strength to face the first hard ramps on the way to El Collet del Sucre, a climb that combines hard ramps and rest sections always rural roads and dangerous descents. In the medieval city of Besalú we will have AV2 (km 105). From here, we will return to secondary roads always uphill, with small breaks. This area can be very hard, although the ramps are not very hard, the ports of La Pera and Boixeda will be hard for more than one. Once we pas this last port, we have a favorable terrain route to the goal of Camprodón.
